We are delighted to offer guided tours of our historic mansion! Explore paintings and documents from the Society’s collections, step back into the Gilded Age, or investigate the legacy of the Irish in New York.

Tours are available three times a day, Monday through Friday.

  • The Gilded Age

    Mark Twain slyly referred to the period as the Gilded Age, to make the point that the golden, splendiferous surface only masked an underlying core of more disturbing socio-political and economic realities.

  • Treasures of the Society

    Discover some of the precious artifacts in our archives on this guided tour of our Beaux-Arts mansion. The Society is home to an extensive collection of artwork, books, and archival materials

  • The Irish in New York

    Discover some of the highs and lows of Irish history in 19th century New York City. This tour will look at all the aspects of City life that Irish immigrants had influenced - labor, religion, politics, and culture.
