Genealogy Workshop

  • American Irish Historical Society 991 Fifth Avenue NY United States (map)

Are you Irish-American? Of Irish descent, but don’t know where from? Planning a trip to Ireland this summer to find your family? This workshop is a spring introduction to using the resources in the United States, Ireland, and the UK to track your family history. While AIHS does not conduct family research in its archives, this class will help patrons learn to use the resources available to them to conduct their own research and be prepared and educated genealogists.

Led by AIHS Lead Archivist Marcus Lindenburg, this workshop is geared towards an audience that have little background knowledge on archival research, are of Irish descent, and plan to conduct further research into their family history. Attendees will be provided with expert guidance on resources and a brief Q&A session to address any specific issues encountered in researching family history.

This event is virtual and available to all global audiences.
