Our Revolutionary Trilogy with Origins Theater 1st Irish Festival wraps up tonight with a play examining the varied experiences of some of the most famous soldiers, wives, and widows, of the period.

1916, Ireland, the Easter Week Rebellion. The first of three wars that led to Ireland's independence. “Women of Kilmainham” brings the unsung women who fought those wars from backstage in history to the stage of an abandoned theatre, to tell their stories; to finally be heard and seen.

They are housewives, writers, doctors, nurses, students, low class, high class, and one bona fide Countess.

Some of their stirring stories will put a smile on your face and some will break your heart.
